A few years down the line saw the most practical use for computer animation for a radar defense system project named "Whirlwind" that linked the computer to radar sites and displayed an electronic map. Many years down the line in 1958, John Whitney Sr. who was a filmmaker and loved to try out new things, made a short animation with the help of an analog computer and the same technology was used by Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo Movie in the title sequence.
Thus began the arrival of computer animation into movies and what a journey it has been! History of cinema changed due to the involvement of computer graphics and things that were not done before or even imagined off were done with the slightest of effort. Thanks to computer animation, Hollywood was able to churn out many flicks for children based on an assortment of cartoon characters. These flicks are even now spoken about for its use of computer animation that gave life to every cartoon character.
With the entry of graphics, computer animation has seen an upward curve and is here to stay for many more generations to come. It is just like old wine that gets better with passing time; computer animation is seeing regular growth and upgrades to fulfill many little hearts' desires.
