Data Recovery History

Many of us think that discoveries related to computers are during the 1990s or in the millennium but did you know that the very first hard disk was introduced in 1956 by IBM. The hard disk was known with the acronym RAMAC which meant Random Access Method of Accounting and Control.

However, the hardware was incredibly huge, like the size of two refrigerators placed side by side. The platters of the drive were the size of pizzas and had the capacity of storing up to five megabytes.

The RAMAC was thought as the best invention to electronically store data but the size of it made it quite unusable at homes. Only after a few decades a more compact method for storing was made for people who wanted to use at home and that is the similar type of hard disk that we make use of today. In these days, the drives have a capacity to run more than hundreds of times faster and can store thousands of times more data. As we know that the integrity of a hard disk directly affects businesses and lives since they hold the most sensitive data which is valuable to both business users and personal users.

Data recovery methods are most useful and very valuable and even though hard disks have come a long way since its invention, it still has sensitivity in failures. A power outrage can make the drive useless and also takes with it the most valuable data which is stored on its platters. Hence, data recovery procedures are important to save data and also to keep it safe from other possible hard drive failures. Whether it is business or personal use, data integrity is as secure, just as the methods used for data recovery and the solution for a safe and effective backup is to make sure that you can recover data from any type of hard disk failure.

Data-Recovery-On-Crashed-Hard-Drive      The most lifesaving solution for a crashed hard drive is data recovery and anyone who has undergone this trauma is certain that it is a very bad situation, since data that is stored on the hard disk is valuable, but unfortunately irreplaceable. The good news here is that hard disk can be recovered with or without the assistance of an expert. There are a few ways to recover your data, and knowing them can be of great help when faced with this type of a situation.
