What Does A Chinese Keyboard Look Like ?
It is easy for people who know English to use the regular computer keyboards. However, in a country like China where the educated population is high and computer usage is also high and people do not know English here. Using a regular keyboard is out of question in such a country. |
Chinese use the Chinese keyboard and it looks much different than the regular English keyboard. There are hundreds of Chinese keyboards available today in the market. Many of the keyboards rely on something called the pinyin readings. They are basically the shapes of the Chinese characters. Also, the pinyin method is very easy to learn compared to other Chinese methods. In addition, since several typists are accustomed to it, they never find it as a problem to use keyboards based on this form of language.
The Chinese also follow handwriting methods besides the keyboard. Using this method it allows the user to write the characters on a separate pad and this is extra equipment attached to the keyboard. It reads the shapes of the handwriting and then translates into a word format.
So a Chinese keyboard may be basic or it can have extended attachments such as a writing pad. The Chinese method of input developed early and when the typewriters were discovered actually. So it was not very difficult to migrate to the concepts to a regular keyboard. Today, the technology is so advanced that the Chinese can use the mobile phone or touch pads also to input characters into the computer.
