As soon as you open the computer, the first thing you are most likely to see is the motherboard because all other components are sitting on the motherboard. Since everything else is so dependent on it, it is called the motherboard. It receives all the instructions from the CPU or the central processing unit and then transfers it to the other devices.
The motherboard is nothing but a circuit board and when you look at it you will notice several intricate connections on it. There are very few wires on the board itself. It will also have various slots for the cards. Motherboards usually have one or two slots empty so that you can upgrade your computer whenever you want. Motherboards can become outdated in the dynamic market. When there is need to upgrade your processor, you will also need to upgrade the motherboard and it is very essential to do that. If you have a very fast processor and you buy an inferior motherboard, then there is no use of having it either.
