Every organization has its own computer network, which can be used to connect system within the office and also to connect system to the internet. Network maintenance is necessary to ensure that network functioning is normal and communication can take place when required. The maintenance work can be done in-house or it can be contract to outside network maintenance providers.
General computer network maintenance will cover the following areas:
- Inform you about the status of your current network and how you can gradually expand the network.
- The network traffic will be checked and new IPs may be added or removed
- Domain setup will be carried out and maintenance will also be performed
- Network hardware will be examined to find out if functioning is smooth
- Security policy will be examined and changes will be mad to it, if required
- Filtering and anti-spam solution will be implemented
Regular maintenance of computer network is required so that proper functioning is maintained. The network can get congested wherein you would need checkup for the packets to be routed through better routes. As new hardware is added to the network, it needs to be configured and checked periodically so that it functions normally.
